Top 10 Songs of the 90s

10. Torn by Natalie Imbruglia
Rick Dees says it was the best song of the 90s. I disagree but it was good and if he said it was the best then it must have been top 10 worthy.

9. Whoomp! There It Is by Tag Team
A song that would get you either ready to party or play a sport.

8. Mama Said Knock You Out by LL Cool J
Who didn’t go around singing at least the title line to this song? Enough said about that.

7. Tears in Heaven by Eric Clapton
A song that makes think sad thoughts even if you’re not paying attention to the words.

6. Smooth by Rob Thomas and The Great Carlos Santana
There was something about the sound of the song. It was a good blend of instruments and vocals.

5. Linger by The Cranberries
Zombie was probably more popular but Linger could relate better to those who were not so educated about the Northern Ireland struggle. I still remember a friend of mind rewinding this song about a thousand times the first day he had the cassette.

4. Smells Like Teen Spirit by Nirvana
You probably don’t know many if any of the words but you sing along when it comes on a radio.

3. I Will Always Love You by Whitney Houston
Dolly may have sang it first but Whitney sang it best. You can’t listen to this song and not think of somebody.

2. Nothing Else Matters by Metallica
It’s a love song by Metallica yet the word love is not in lyrics. It’s pure genius.

1. Mysterious Ways by U2
The best song from the best band of all time. Enough said.
